There are a number of events in Lampeter each year which are well worth a visit. We’ve noted the main events below, but there are many more.

If you love food and drink, why not visit the Lampeter Food Fest. It’s held in July each year in the University grounds and showcases the best in Welsh food and drink. This year’s event will be held on July 27th.

Lampeter Carnival is held in August each year and is fun day out.

Eisteddfod Rhys Thomas James Pantyfedwen Lampeter is held annually at August Bank Holiday. This year’s Eisteddfod will be held on 22, 23 and 24 August at Ysgol Bro Pedr in town. A warm welcome awaits you all. For further information, contact the Eisteddfod’s General Secretary, Dorian Jones – 01570 422678.

Why not see the best that the agricultural community has to offer by visiting the Lampeter Agricultual Show. Held in August each year, there are a wide range of classes including sheep, horses, cows and various trade stands.

During the winter, we have a Christmas Fayre, held at the university, a traditional Plygain service at the university Chapel, and one of the only Poultry Shows still running in Wales.

In February we have a Welsh Beer and Cider Festival and a Parade to celebrate St David’s Day.

All through the year there is something to do in Lampeter!
